You can relax in the hot tub and enjoy amazing views of the horizon during the summer and you might see the northern lights during the winter. It's a perfect location for day trips to discover the Snæfellsnes peninsula and the silver circle and it's not far from the golden circle either.

Our 78 square meter 1 bedroom cottage is located 50 minutes drive from Reykjavik. The cottage is luxurious and has an outdoor natural water hot tub from where you can enjoy the Northern Lights or the fantastic sunset. The living area and the balcony have a spectacular view overlooking the fjord and surrounding mountains. The cottage is a great base for day tours in the south or west of Iceland. Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir and Snæfells glacier are all within 1-2 hours’ drive.

During winter you might see the northern lights and experience the constant day during summer. Dairy cows, sheep and horses roam around on the farm in the summer but stay inside during winter. This house truly has it all, from a beautiful ocean view, horses in the backyard, and a phenomenal view over Reykjavik. Esjuberg plays a big part in a very interesting Icelandic Viking story called the Kjalnesinga Saga. In this story, a woman named Esja lived here along with her foster son Búi, who became a very mighty man.
