Beautiful 1-Bedroom Guest House Historic District

Brand New One-Bedroom Guest House in the Historic District near Downtown Gainesville. This stylish, centrally-located rental is located in the backyard of our property and was designed by an architect on the historic board in the city of Gainesville, along with our son, who is also an architect. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, full bathroom and a bedroom with a queen-size bed. The ceilings are 9-feet high, giving a feeling of extra space in this 420-sq. foot guest house.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. While being only 15 miles from the nightlife of downtown Gainesville, this is country living at it best. With no street lights the stars are bright and easily counted. The mornings are bright and full of the music of bird songs. This Downtown Studio has just been remodeled and is located on a very private and tranquil property situated in the heart of Gainesville. Half a mile from UF Campus and 1.5 miles to Shands Hospital / VA. Within a few blocks are many of Gainesville's favorite restaurants, coffee shops, museums and nightlife. Facilities available are: Amazon Fire TV with access to Netflix and Prime TV; high speed internet; induction cook-top, coffee press, microwave and a fridge.

Close to Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, Micanopy's unique downtown and a short easy drive to UF campus. North of Micanopy on Highway 441 across from Lake Wauberg. A common private driveway from the highway leads up to our two story home and two story detached garage. Uber not a good option. Good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers; and great for Gator friends and fans. Smoke free and no pets please.

Tom Petty Park at the end of our street includes playground, vollleyball net, tennis courts, dog park etc. Gainesville Bike Trail entrance just 1/2 mile from house. Private entrance to guesthouse with shared brick courtyard and parking.
