The hut has no electricity but has solar lights, and a separate composting toilet, all bed linen is provide along with wood for the stove. Overlooking the Solway Firth with uninterrupted views of the the sea and the Scottish hills beyond, this delightful cottage is over 200 years old with 24" thick walls, originally a fishermen's cottage. Small and compact but full of character and charm, with an open fire - an ideal couples and/or walkers retreat. There is a local village store and there are also pubs and several eating places in the village. An ideal location to explore Western Cumbria.

Newcroft Shepherd’s Hut

Beautiful new bespoke Shepherds Hut, situated in an iydillic, peaceful location with views over the Solway Firth & Criffel. The Hut is equipped with everything needed to ensure an amazing, memorable stay in luxurious accommodation with heating, comfy sofa, fire and TV. There is an additional outside seating area, please ask in advance if the BBQ is required. There is Tea, Coffee, Sugar and Milk provided in the Shepherds Hut. Sorry, no children.

Toddell Barn

Toddell Barn forms part of our traditional Lakeland longhouse farm, built in approximately 1710. Toddell Barn sits within approximately 7 acres of agricultural land that helps attract a wide variety of wildlife. Toddell Barn is located in the hamlet of Brandlingill (2 miles south of Cockermouth) and is within the northern boundary of The Lake District National Park, categorised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2017.
