The Wind Mill

Beautifully located in hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean sits the Marinhas windmill. The windmill dates from the year 1758 and was built in the traditional northern Portuguese style with circular walls, two floors, an entrance on the grown floor and two windows on the upper floor. It is classified as a municipal heritage building. The mill is 130 meters above sea level thus providing a breathtaking view over the towns and ocean and a unique retreat for the more adventurous guest.

Na zona envolvente podem realizar caminhadas na natureza, passeios pelo rio Douro e Paiva, visitar os Passadiços do Paiva ou descobrir os encantos das Montanhas Mágicas. Serão recebidos pelo anfitrião Vitó que, sendo local e conhecendo a zona, vos ajudará a descobrir os encantos da região.

Este é um espaço único, com uma vista deslumbrante sobre a cascata e natureza envolvente. Ideal para um fim de semana de aventuras! Venha preparado para pouca rede de telemóvel e Wi-Fi lento, uma vez que o local é isolado. Por outro lado, o som da natureza ganha uma dimensão fantástica, a água do rio e os pássaros envolvem nos totalmente. O acesso é feito (nos últimos 500m) por caminho em terra e é necessário estar atento as indicações que lhe fornecemos para que não se perca.

The sea water is indeed very cold, but uppon this "small" detail :) Apulia's is for decades recomended by health Professionals due to its high water and air quality rich in Yode. Lanscape and beautifull sunsets are the best. You can find very nice spots to visit and/or just appreciate the richness of the place and smell the sea aroma. Come and see :)
