The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

Recently remodeled kitchen and baths.Stay in the coziest yet spacious A-frame in the charming village of Little Switzerland (55 min from Asheville) breathtaking views from the hot-tub on deck - 5 minutes from Blue Ridge Parkway hiking and Crabtree Falls! Plenty of space for the families with pingpong table & foosball & bball hoop. We ARE NOT suitable for children <5 due to the spiral staircase/deck. NO pets. The Snookmore is perfectly located just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Asheville. Just hop on the Parkway and have the Appalachian wilderness at your beck and call or mosey on down to the hottest town the South has to offer. Its only neighbors are ourselves and our other rental house, the Snookery. Note on Helene: we were very luck in Snookville with a lot of downed trees, but nothing structural. There are still outages, but the generators keep the power on.

This cozy chalet is nestled in front of a 45 ft rocky outcrop.  Sitting on nearly 3 secluded acres, this retreat feels miles away from anyone, but is actually less than 10 minutes to various restaurants, shops, and activities.  Relax on the deck, take in the amazing views, and enjoy visits from local wildlife including elk and wild turkey. The cascading creek running through the property provides the calming sounds of water rippling through rocks and over small waterfalls.
