Hang Out in the Backyard Hammock at an Eclectic Abode

While away chilled evenings under the illuminated pergola at this spacious 1930s getaway an easy walk from downtown. Lounge on the deck while dipping your feet in the masterfully constructed stock tank pool. This characterful space blends a rustic wooden bench and gold-hued velvet armchair with vintage-look glass lighting. We love our home! Sleeps 4 comfortably. Brick house from the 1930s, with updated fixtures. Great for football or graduation weekends. There are bars, coffee shops and restaurants in the very near vicinity. A quick walk downtown as well. For a 5th guests, there is a queen-sized blow up mattress under the guest bed. Extra sheets, pillows and blankets are in the closet. We have a large backyard with a 10X20 foot pergola for eating outside. There is also a Big Green Egg for those who liked to grill. Guests have access to the entire house except for a small studio/office where we store our belongings when we are away. Guests will be given access to the house via a code to the front door keypad. Housekeeper makes sure that everything is in order for you arrival. If there are any issues or questions, just give me a text or email. Normaltown is the new hotspot in Athens. There are several good bars, restaurants, and coffee shops all within walking distance. This is a very safe area with lots of people out and about on their bikes, with their kids, and walking their dogs. About 3 blocks from the Athens transit and UGA bus stop. $5 Uber to downtown, five points and most of central Athens. On nice days we walk downtown in about 25 minutes. For dinner I recommend Uber/Lyft instead of driving to downtown, even if you are not planning on having a drink, as parking can be hard to find at night, and you may end up paying more than what you would have for the round trip with Uber or Lyft. Dogs are welcome. The backyard is completely fenced in and we have a doggie-door for medium sized dogs.

This light & airy studio is on our 2 acre lot separate and private from our house. In a safe neighborhood, 15-20 minutes to Athens, it has a cozy private back porch.
