The Wisdom House was built 1878, and is in the Heart of Downtown Baker City Historic District. it is the oldest home in Baker City still proudly displaying its original valances/draperies in the living room and dining room from 1878. A cozy little cabin nestled along Cracker Creek, in Sumpter. Sumpter, a once thriving gold mining town in the early 1900s, still has the enormous dredge they used to use. Take your ATV out to a number of other old ghost mines and towns in an easy days ride, come back to the cabin, clean up, and go down town to enjoy a nice dinner and maybe play some pool at the local tavern. Or stay home and cook for yourself. The options are endless year round!
