Being in the National Forest means easy access to logging roads and nearly endless hiking trails right from the property. Bring your ATV, explore miles of forest routes, hike to your heart’s content, or take a drive to the top of the mountain and soak in the breathtaking views.

Mid-Century Modern Time Capsule Near Downtown!

This 1950s home is certainly more unique than most hotel rooms in Baker City. With only one owner in 71 years, the 2 bed, 1 bath vacation rental is filled with charm. All we added during the restoration phase is air conditioning, a few antique furniture gems, and mid-century modern decor for style, comfort, and a fun blast through the past. Everything else is original, including the hardwood floors which we found hidden underneath the carpet! They were quite literally, held in a time capsule!

Sumpter is absolutely gorgeous in the fall with the autamn colors.Plenty of trails to ride ATVs and all other outdoor toys. The Wisdom House was built 1878, and is in the Heart of Downtown Baker City Historic District. it is the oldest home in Baker City still proudly displaying its original valances/draperies in the living room and dining room from 1878.
