The Otters Den

The Property: Camping under the stars by the lake without the hassle! Cozy up around the Solo Stove smokeless fire pit while looking at the views of Tranquility Bay of Big Stone Lake. The Otters Den is centrally located adjacent to the lake on the South Dakota side between 2 public boat launches and close to Hartford Beach State Park. This private property offers a fully furnished camper with everything you need for a memorable adventure. This area is renowned for its fishing and hunting.

Silverstar Stables is perfect for long-term stays.

Silverstar Stables is located on 10 acres 3 miles south of Watertown on blacktop road. It is approximately 150 feet from our residence. Rest assure that you will be left alone to enjoy your extended or weekend getaway. We have just completed remodeling the other half of the barn turning it onto another rental. Silverstar Barn has it's own entrance and both units have there own patio doors, one facing east, the other west for private outdoor seating. Both units have there own grill as well.

Enjoy grilling on the over sized deck, take the 4 available kayaks (2 adult, 2 youth) out to explore the historic Big Stone Islands, or share a campfire in the firepit on the patio! From a keypadded shared entryway up 16 standard-incline steps to the apartment are two bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, full bath with shower, plus free parking outdoors including area for boat/trailer parking.
