Situated on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Oughterard, the house is a 5 minute walk from the shores of Lough Corrib and its fishing facilities. The village of Oughterard, restaurants, cafes and grocery stores is 3kms from the house. Oughterard Golf course and Aughnanure castle are within 2kms. Connemara with its gorgeous villages and Atlantic beaches are easily reached by car as is the world famous Kylemore Abbey. Galway city with its many charms is located 25kms away.

Catherine's Cottage is one of three courtyard cottages with three ensuite bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining/living room, washer/ dryer and underfloor heating. The Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Ashford Castle, Kylemore Abbey, salmon/trout fishing, golf courses and horseback riding are some of many attractions of this region.
