The Lakeside River House

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Come and enjoy the Nature Coast right from the backyard.

Cedar Key Writers Retreat

Two night minimum. Quiet second floor apartment in historic building on the island of Cedar Key. This apartment is smoke free and pet free. (Owner has extreme allergies.) It has a porch with a water view, one block from the Gulf, and is in the center of town. Not a stoplight in town. Cedar Key is a tiny fishing village full of artists, musicians, and people who like to fish. Lots of superb restaurants that feature world famous Cedar Key clams and fresh fish. Sunsets here are terrific!

Small sunny islands that can be accessed by boats and kayaks. Our condo has a pool and hot tub and a boat wash area. There is a private dock on the intercostal that when the tide is right you can pull your boat right up to. Also Fish cleaning station. We have a BBQ grill and picnic tables available on the property.
