Upstairs apartment for rent in historic house in Summerville. Private entrance, 2 bedrooms, 1 Bath, Living room, office, Mini Fridge, Microwave, Keurig and ice maker. Minutes from downtown and the Medical District. Complimentary refreshment bar stocked with coffee and tea, bottle water, sodas and snacks. Guest must be able to climb a flight of stairs to access the apartment. Access to the main house is closed. We do have dogs in the main house, they do not have access to the upstairs apartment.

Aiken is an historic town that was the winter destination for wealthy northerners who built homes here, brought their horses for polo and thoroughbred racing...a tradition that is carried on today. There are theaters, golf courses, and a branch of the University a mile away. Aiken is located outside of Augusta, Ga. The cottage is casual, comfortable, and offers peace and quiet in a safe area. Private driveway and parking for two cars.

If you do want to explore the area, you are right in the heart of the Downtown with various activities always happening, be it the restaurant and bar scene, local art museums, the weekly farmers market(seasonal), multiple opportunities to exercise. Charles Hammond House Cottage

Welcome to the Charles Hammond House Cottage. This structure is as old as the main house, dating back to the 18th century. It has been thoughtfully renovated with the intention of giving you modern day amenities wrapped in the nostalgia of being wrapped in a rural cabin during the 18th century. The hand-hewn beams have been preserved and left open for display in living room space. You can still see the axe mark strikes of the colonial era carpenters shaping trees not building materials.
