Our Curious | Opossum Hollow

Welcome to Opossum Hollow in the quaint mountain town of Travelers Rest! Our partially restored 1984 Airstream Excella, lovingly referred to as `Possum Holler', is situated on the same property as our home. With a covered space for parking and a 35 foot skylight deck, this outdoor space is designed for cool evening lounging and warm afternoon napping. We worked with a number of local artisans to design and create the entire space, ensuring most every element is handmade, upcycled, and recycled!

One Particular Cove ... on Lake Hartwell

Bring your fishing rods, boat, jet skis, floats & water toys to enjoy off the dock in our quiet cove! BBQ the fish you caught on the gas grill ... or sit around the fire pit & talk about the one that got away, as you watch the sun set over the lake. In the morning, enjoy your coffee relaxing on the patio while you listen to the sounds of the lake coming to life. There are many species of birds to be found here, so bring your binoculars & see how many you can find. Relax, you're at the lake!

The house is just 10 minutes from Travelers Rest and 10-15 minutes from downtown Greenville! If you enjoy long walks or bike rides, the paved Swamp Rabbit Trail is within 1 mile of the tiny house. Also, if the foothills of upstate SC are not tall enough for you, the nationally recognized outdoor spaces of WNC are about 1 hr away.

Enjoy your stay in this cozy 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom home on Lake Hartwell. We are located 20 minutes from Clemson, 15 minutes to Anderson, and 40 minutes to Greenville, so there is plenty in the area to keep you busy. Located on a dead end street, the neighborhood is very quiet. Our home also has fast wifi and 2 smart TV’s to access any streaming service. We also provide cable. With plenty of parking space in the driveway for vehicles and a boat we can provide a peaceful getaway.

Private Second Floor with 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms

My place is close to the stadium and C. U., in an upscale neighborhood. I am renting the entire second floor, which consists of three bedrooms. (I also have an apartment for rent in the same house).The purple bedroom has its own private bathroom. The blue and ten bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom, with a separate toilet room. The blue bedroom has a queen sized bed, while the tan room has an extra sleeping twin size mattress to accommodate a seventh person.

Check out our garden & food forest across the street from the cabin. Take a picnic and enjoy the lake. Our goal is to provide a relaxing, inspiring, and educational experience. “Epcot” at Lake Hartwell This “Hexagon” home with its multi-sided roof reminds you of “Epcot’s” Geodesic Sphere… but inside ours are three large bedrooms, two baths, well appointed kitchen and large family room for gathering.
