There is plenty of outdoor space, which opens onto bright paddock views and gentle birdsong.-We are lucky to have the picturesque village of Palnackie at the end of our driveway, where you are assured a warm welcome at the shop, cafe and pub.-There are also many beautiful walks on our doorstep.-Experience our incredible dark night sky and view the Milky Way from your garden.

The Sea Cubby, Private Holiday Lodge, Portling.

The Sea Cubby is a unique wee holiday lodge overlooking the Solway Firth. It is perched just above the waves with the most beautiful views across Portling Bay to the white sands of Merse Head nature reserve. The Lodge is not in a holiday park it stands alone with it's own private driveway, parking and garden. It’s so quiet, a retreat to escape and relax, by sitting watching and listening to the waves. The Lodge has a large glass roofed deck. Well behaved dogs are considered, please ask first.

Tucked away in the most beautiful corner of Dumfries & Galloway, 2 Ford View is perched on the edge of the water. It benefits from sunset views, waterside location, comfy beds, a large garden with a deck and as of July 2026 a huge new balcony off the main bedroom. It is quite a special spot. This little fisherman's cottage sleeps 3 in two bedrooms, a king bedroom and a single bedroom.
