A Shepherd’s Retreat: Stunning Mountain View

Nestled at the foot of Whitehorse mountain in the midst of the North Cascades, a Shepherd’s Retreat is a working sheep farm. The farm is one of the few historic homestead farms in Snohomish County. Located within the North Cascades there is great hiking amazing views within a half hour drive. The town of Darrington is 5 miles away with restaurants, a pharmacy and grocery. The farmhouse has been recently updated and restored to allow guests maximum comfort, but able to live close to the land.

Forest & River Refuge

We offer a comfortable, furnished wall tent with deck in the woods along the Stilliguamish River. It's a private setting well suited to escaping busy urban life. There is a tarped kitchen area for all the cooking, a hot water shower and a gas fire pit for warming up and ambiance as well as a private bench along the river. You can access a rail trail and walk (or bike) 1 mile to Squire Creek or 6 miles to Darrington. We are on the edge of National Forest and there is a lot of hiking nearby.

Riverfront A-Frame | Hot Tub, Game Room, Sleeps 10

A-frame on the Pilchuck River, just past Granite Falls on the Mountain Loop Highway. Wake to water and cedars, soak in the riverside hot tub, then cook in the open kitchen while the hide-away projector warms up for movie night. Ideal for couples or a small family, and it sleeps up to 10 across 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and sofa beds. Covered game garage with pop-a-shot, ping pong and cornhole. Starlink wifi works for remote work. Verlot campground is next door; Lake 22 is minutes away. Dogs welcome.
