Come and relax in the peaceful surroundings of this rural destination. Nestled on the outskirts in the popular Loess Hills of western Iowa the views of nature are sure to inspire. We have built our very roomy home to resemble a barn. Having raised our 13 children here we have some empty space. Grandpa and Grandma's apartment is a very inviting homey atmosphere for any one passing through or planning a lengthier stay in our area you will be happy with our family friendly accommodations & price.

Located in the heart of Dunlap Iowa, this home features 2 bedrooms (one with king bed & one with queen bed, plus additional twin air mattress), pack-n-play & high chair, bathroom with tub/shower combo, onsite washer & dryer, dedicated office area, fully-equipped kitchen, and comfortable living room with two recliners and love seat. Step back in time while enjoying the modern conveniences of central heat/AC, appliances, luxury bedding, and high speed internet.

Grain Bin Getaway

Nestled at the foot of the Loess Hills, this repurposed grain bin is a sight to see. Every inch of the inside has been customized for a relaxing and luxurious experience. Conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown Omaha, as well as within a quick drive to numerous state parks. There is even an external electrical hook up for campers. Finally, our grain bin includes 20 acres of the Loess Hills to explore. We recommend hiking to the top of the ridge for sunset. It's breath taking.

Larger cities like Omaha are within a reasonable driving distance for more extensive shopping and entertainment options.

Hilltop Hospitality House

Remodeled split-entry "Hilltop Hospitality House" was my childhood home. One hour from Omaha in the lovely Loess Hills, with beautiful lake and valley views, (sleeps ten). Three queen beds, one double bed, one sofa sleeper, full kitchen, two full baths, laundry, a spacious open floor plan for large groups, and a large deck overlooking my friendly hometown, this is a great space for groups and family gatherings. Nice studio apartment above the garage rents separately.

Almost Home Hideaway

Formerly a church basement, we have taken it down to the bare brick. Offering almost 1200 sq. ft. of living space with 3 spacious bedrooms. The open concept kitchen and living room with large peninsula and barstools and large smart tv makes for a great gathering place . If you're in the area for work, a wedding, sports and whatever it may be, this place is Almost Home. Full disclosure, the entryway is not quite finished, but does not affect the guest quarters.

Fort Purdy Home

Bring the whole family to this great house with lots of room for fun. This has been my family home for almost 4 decades and our children were raised here. It has been entirely remodeled and upgraded most recently in 2019 with all new flooring, kitchen, kitchen appliances, and bathroom updates. Great corner lot, plenty of parking, high end appliances, and plenty of room to hang out! It’s a great place to hang out, entertain, or just visit the amenities of Denison

The Rookery Cottage - Access scenic hiking trails

This rustic cottage is a quiet retreat in the heart of the Middle Raccoon River Valley. Situated on a private acreage within Whiterock Conservancy, guests can easily access 40mi+ of scenic hiking and mountain biking trails, float the nearby river, or enjoy dark sky viewing. A "rookery" is a nesting site for herons, a bird that prefers quiet, undisturbed habitat near water. And so the Rookery Cottage seeks to provide a natural escape from the daily grind.
