The cottage is located in the countryside village of Ballymacarbry which is situated at the foot of the Nire Valley and is perfect for hikers, with beautiful walking paths. Cyclists with the winding roads of the Sean Kelly circuit and walkers with the many woodland trails. The cottage is also a 10 minute drive from the Comeragh Mountains.

Roam freely through our 120 acres of gardens, farmland and woodlands, or enjoy a guided tour of our grounds and learn of present day efforts to transform our land into a nature reserve.

All our cabins combine modern finishes and rustic county charms. It is situated 12km from the famed Rock of Cashel and is centrally located for touring Ireland. There is a shop and pub 3km away and beautiful restaurants in Cashel and Tipperary town. We are in very close proximity to the Glen of Aherlow which plays host to beautiful scenery and hill walks. If traditional music is your thing then it can be found in abundance in many pubs locally.

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Seven Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
