Country Living

Looking for some quiet and solitude our cabin is located in the country sitting on 20 acres of wooded land with walking trails, wildlife, and solitude. But we are still just a short drive to nearby communities for numerous activities to enjoy. We have kayaks and a canoe for rent enjoy an evening on a nearby lake watching the sunset and listening to the loons or enjoy some fishing from the kayak. In the winter enjoy our Outdoor Sauna, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, x-country skiing, or ice fishing.

Private Cottage w/Queen Bed + Lakes, golfing, etc.

Beautiful, cozy cottage located on owner's property. Surrounded by lakes (however not on one), world-class golf, towering pine trees and amazing restaurants and shopping. You will have the cottage to yourself. There is a private bedroom with a queen bed, also a full bath. The living room sofa pulls out to sleep two more. We are walking distance to Pequot Lakes, and just a 10 minute drive to Breezy Point or Nisswa for an amazing shopping experience. We welcome friendly, fully vetted dogs.

Cabeezoe ( half cabin / half gazebo )

Our cabin is nestled in a wooded area & is very private. 15 minutes from 3 different towns with Wadena being the biggest. There's a queen bed on the main floor bedroom and a queen bed in the loft bedroom. WIFI/ cable television are available. Can sleep with the windows open or use the air conditioning. Outdoor pets are welcome, no pets inside please. You will have a view of the pond & we see deer on a daily basis. We will supply bedding, bath towels, cooking utensils, plates, cups & silverware.

Treehouse (LOTR) Stargazer Skycabin

Our LOTR themed treehouse, along with our LOTR Wizard's Cottage, have been described as a "love letter to Tolkien himself." We have been featured on PBS and WJON radio. Joan and I live on the acreage, about 200 ft. from the Wizard's Cottage and very far from the treehouse, which is located on the back part of the acreage. It has a fenced-in portion that makes up the Shire Garden. Down the hill is our nod to Mordor. Feel free to visit and dare to open the "Mor Do(o)r." Diversity is welcome.

“Tiny Timber” Scandi cabin W/ Sauna, plunge tub!

The Maynard Cabin, a Civil War era log cabin

The Maynard Log Cabin was erected by a homesteader after the civil war. We have moved and restored it and made it available for rent. It is off the grid, but it has a complete functioning kitchen, wood stove and sitting room downstairs. There are two antique beds with new mattresses upstairs. There is no electricity but the cabin is furnished with kerosene lanterns. The bathroom facilities consist of wash basins and outhouse. The cabin is surrounded by 40 acres of woods and meadows.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful cabin. It is steps away from a privately owned beach for you to sit back, enjoy the sunrise/sunset with a firepit. 5 minute walk away from the well-known Barsness park. Also, 5 minute walk away from Lake Minnewaska public boat landing and public beach. Or enjoy a nice walk to go downtown Glenwood to enjoy all the city has to offer!! Solitude! Just over two hours from the cities this cabin is just far enough away to truly feel up north. Only 10 miles from Baxter, 20 miles from Crosby but a thousand miles from the rat race. This property is set on a secluded 2.5 acre plot that will provide ample opportunity to connect with nature. Relax and enjoy the solitude! Less than 10 miles away from Brainerd International Speedway and only 2.3 miles away from the Paul Bunyan Trail. TV has a Roku streaming device.

Pedal and Pine on the Lake

On the shore of Clark Lake and nestled under a canopy of Norway pines, the cabin provides a cozy getaway. With lake access, you can fish right from the dock, enjoy a paddle on the water, or relax by the outdoor fire pit. The Paul Bunyan trail is just steps away. Bike or stroll (or snowmobile!) straight into the town of Nisswa, home to shops, great coffee, and unique places to eat. In the warmer months, you might even see some turtles racing downtown!
