This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Built in 1830 and lovingly renovated for now, it’s a slice of Vicksburg’s past. The Old Courthouse museum is visible from the back courtyard and the historic downtown is just a short walk. There’s a brewery and several unique restaurants just a few blocks away in the downtown with fun shopping close by. Casinos and the National Military Park are just a short drive. Has a desk, if needed and internet provided.

Adirondack-style treehouse cabin surrounded by a 99,000-acre national forest. The nearby spring-fed creek is a lovely cooling-off spot with miles and miles of pristine sand-bars. This house has two beds. One is across from the wood stove. The second is in the sleeping loft. The loft has an open fourth wall and a queen mattress. It’s a cozy spot and not roomy. Savage Lane

Our father built this house beginning in 1981. It is located on our 40-acre farm, in front of my sister's cottage, about 100 yards from the house I share with our nephew, which was originally built by our grandparents in 1939. It is quiet, remote and peaceful. It is about seven miles to the nearest grocery stores and restaurants in Bastrop, and one mile to a Dollar General in Collinston. There is wifi in the house, as well as a Roku TV.

This Southern-style home is a short walk to downtown on the trail along the Bluff. Sitting on the covered front porch, you can enjoy the park-like setting. Inside, are high ceilings and spacious, open living areas. There is Tupelo Cottage behind the home, connected by a breezeway which is available also. Each place has separate entrances, porches and driveways. My place is good for couples, families and business travelers.
