Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

That's why we offer you free rental of bicycles, snowshoes, canoes, firewood, barbecues and kayak for those with experience. The apartment is on the first floor and has large windows. This building was first used a cannon house and throughout the following years served as a warehouse, a coal pit and an atelier of a renowned local painter.
