Strengthen your body, calm down your mind, brighten up your spirit, and nourish your life. I will give you the opportunity to get an insight into traditional Chinese Kung Fu, Chinese culture, and philosophy. As a powerful ancient Chinese practice, Kung Fu promotes physical and mental agility, and I believe that a daily training contributes to a healthy and happy life. It can bring you fitness, wellness, peace of mind, self-defense, and also, a better and deeper understanding of traditional Chinese culture and philosophy. Your training? We will meet at the South Gate of Ritan Park, and then we'll walk through this historic site to a small ancient building where we will train the traditional way—outside in a park, to get closer to nature. We will start with a warm-up and Qigong movements to get your body relaxed. Then you'll be able to choose between learning Shaolinquan or Taijiquan. We will also take some time to discuss Chinese culture and philosophy. This insight into traditional Chinese Kung Fu will give you an unforgettable memory of your journey to China.

I am originally from the Henan province and I've been training in Kung Fu since I was a child. I am the disciple of Master Zhang Shengli, the founder of Zhang style. For more than 10 years, I have learned external and internal styles, together with traditional Chinese philosophy. I believe that Kung Fu training contributes to a healthy and happy life. For me, it is a philosophy and a way of life, and I will be happy to share this with you.

We will train in Ritan Park, one of the historic parks of Beijing dating back to 1530. It's a typical Chinese park and you will be able to feel the real Chinese culture. We'll see many typical and different activities according to the time of the day, such as people getting together, singing and dancing, flying kites, and playing Chinese chess.

This was an amazing experience and I cannot recommend it enough! In addition to the physical learning, Baoxuan took time to explain what Kung fu means to him and how it has impacted his life, which was particularly meaningful to me! He was a thorough and patient teacher with a great sense of humor. The park was absolutely gorgeous as well, which made for a peaceful setting for the lesson. If you find yourself in Beijing (as a local or a traveler), do yourself a favor and sign up for Baoxuan’s experience. You’ll leave with a sense of satisfaction, peace, and overall well-being.

He was informative and communicated very well in English. He was able to tell us about the history of kungfu and the cultural meaning behind it. It was interesting to hear the differences between all of the martial arts and how Kung fu differed from the others. Our instructor was patient and kind as well. Overall, it was a great learning experience and would highly recommend the class

Great host. He clearly had great knowledge of Kung Fu and made it fun and engaging. We were in a quiet shaded spot that made it quite easy to focus on what we were learning. He explained all the moves we were doing and why. There was plenty of practice time as well to show how the moves could be used in real scenarios. He also graciously took photos for us to remember the moment and some of the poses. We ended right around sunset so it was a perfect time to stroll through the park after the class. Highly recommended.

BaoXian was a great storyteller and a good kung fu teacher. He taught us the basic philosophy of Kung Fu and helped us make cool poses for pictures :D
