Om Stanley Park Ecological Society

Stanley Park Ecology Society has been operating for 30 years, aiming to connect people to local ecology. Every year we connect thousands of people with nature through our educators whilst our conservation team leads community volunteers in habitat restoration and wildlife monitoring. SPES advisers the Vancouver Park Board and provides baseline information on conservation issues in the Park.

Vad vi kommer att göra

We will meet at the #19 Stanley Park bus loop located at Rose Garden Lane where you will Discover Spapayeq (Stanley Park)—the traditional, and unceded land of the Musqueam, Squamish Nation, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nation people. Walk through the forest and bathe in Coast Salish knowledge of cedar and hemlock, learning through storytelling. Continue the walk down to Xwáýxway (Lumberman’s Arch)…

Vad mer du bör veta

This walk is closely linked to local ecosystems and will address plant use and plant harvesting in a sustainable way. No harvesting will be done in this walk. Trails are very easy and accessible
