We will see common threads within the LGBTQ generations who have lived life in New York City, sharing their stories throughout the tour. On this tour, learn more about individual stories of queer activists, and the major political and social movements that have shaped the LGBTQ community over time. Sites include the historic Stonewall Inn, Christopher Park, the NYC AIDS Memorial, and the LGBT Community Center.
Since moving to New York City in 2016, I have found a particular interest in LGBTQ history, especially as a queer man. I am also a writer on LGBTQ topic and themes. For the past three years, I have been doing research on the Stonewall Riots and LGBTQ-related history for a historical fiction book. My goal has been to make my writing as authentic and true as possible. With all of this LGBTQ historical knowledge of New York City, I would like to offer free LGBTQ History Walking Tours to those that are also interested in the rich history that NYC has to offer.
