On the edge of our family homestead overlooking meadow & forest, this tiny house offers a quiet, cozy refuge only 45 minutes from Acadia National Park. There's a twin day bed on the ground floor & a double futon in the loft. Tiny kitchen & bathroom with shower (2 temps: hot or cold) too. A heat pump keeps the place toasty warm or nice and cool. Our family's gazebo, grill, fire pit, hammock, trails & garden are shared with guests. A beautiful beach across the bay from Acadia is down the road.

The bright interior is a perfect contrast to the exterior. Located in a quite neighborhood close to Newbury Neck Beach. This home offers parking, WIFI, a washer and dryer, and an outdoor lounge area. Just a short drive will put you in the heart of Blue Hill where you’ll find great restaurants and cafes. Acadia National Park is just 30 miles away.

Nestled in a small quiet town right on the banks of Taunton Bay, enjoy peaceful relaxing location and watch the tide roll in and out. Wake up to waterviews from your bed. You have the entire "Spot" to yourself and whatever wildlife happens to show up that day! *****If you plan to book over the 4th of July holiday, please be aware that we will be setting off fireworks on this night. With 3 bedrooms (2 bedrooms & one large loft) /2 baths it is the perfect spot for a family or two to enjoy. Whether you enjoy sipping coffee on the deck, sitting by the ocean, or exploring the tide pools by the shore, there are many areas to enjoy. In Nov 2021- the cabin had full bathroom renovations & all new decor. Our other property is Bar Harbor Cedar Chalet.

Sunrise: A Handbuilt Forest Home

Sunrise is a 15’ x 20’ off-grid straw bale cabin sitting above Taunton Bay among coastal lakes and mountains. The cabin uses a dry composting toilet outhouse, LED solar lights, and water gathered from a nearby spring. It includes a wood stove and two-burner propane stove for cooking. Enjoy yoga practice or relax on a sunny porch. Our location is not for everyone; please read our description carefully and see if this adventure is right for you!
