Kangaroo Cottage - Hills Retreat BnB

Kangaroo Cottage is an adults only retreat, surrounded by majestic Jarrah trees and wildlife. Guests have a wonderful opportunity to escape the city & immerse themselves in the serenity of the hills. Please be aware that the cottage is located on our family hobby farm & the sounds of our animals are a part of the Kangaroo Cottage experience. Our property is not suitable for pets or children. A light breakfast of croissants & condiments will be provided for the first morning of your stay.

The Dragonfly's Nest

Enjoy this bush block and the nearby nature reserves, listen to the cockatoos amongst the gum trees or the odd duck on the dam. Fall asleep to the frog song and wake to the kookaburra calls. Take a torch out and look for the many possums and quendas amongst some of the old ruins. This charming getaway is close to the city but has the benefits of being in the bush. There is a picnic basket and rug available for your convenience. Note: There is some road noise at peak periods if windows open.

Peaceful Hilltop Retreat

Escape to our cozy studio, a quiet hideaway set among the hills. Accessed via a gravel road, you will be surrounded by native trees and wildlife. With no WI-FI this retreat offers a genuine chance to slow down, switch off, and reconnect with nature. The retreat is located 50 minutes from Perth Airport. We live in the adjoining house on the property, so help is nearby if needed, while your accommodation remains private and self-contained. There is still 5G reception available at the suite.

Come visit the beautiful green Hills of Perth. While you are only 30 minutes from Perth CBD and 20 minutes from the airport, you will feel like you are far away from home. Our guesthouse is situated near the top of the hill with a steep driveway and stairs entry. You'll have a pub within walking distance and the beautiful Araluen Park and great restaurants nearby.

Our property is not suitable for pets or child Enjoy the private studio separate from the main dwelling. The studio is semi self contained with a private bathroom and courtyard. Guests have access to Pool area, BBQ, outdoor fire pit, and walking trail.

Umatah Retreat Chalet

Umatah means "you matter". Umatah to us, Umatah to yourself, Umatah to those around you and Umatah to the environment. Umatah is part of the original State Brick Works that was closed down in the 1940’s after their excavations hit an underground spring. The property runs on organic principles and has a mango orchard, apiary, vegetable wicking beds plus various other fruit and nut trees. There is a large waterhole, landscaped gardens and endless native bushland.
