Junglo Bunglo

Authentic Hawaii experience in a jungle hale that connects you to nature in a magical, isolated, and old area of Puna. This guest house is born from our inspiration and hands, and is well equipped for an off-grid (water+power provided by nature) farm life. We are close to the ocean, about 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk. You can hear the winter humpback whales on quiet nights jump and slap their tales which is fun. 20 minutes from Pahoa; 50 mins from Hilo; 50 mins from Volcano National Park

During your stay I highly recommend the Papaaloa Country Store and Restaurant just down the road. They have great pizza and fresh locally grown foods and local style menu. You’ll love the semi-outdoor shower with screens to keep out any bugs or critters, and the patio kitchenette is a great place to relax and enjoy brunch, a cocktail, or a brunch cocktail! California King bed with Casper mattress, luxury bedding, fast wi-fi, covered parking, and lots of fun custom design touches!

Our unique jungalow provides space to relax & experience nature & adventure like never before. Nestled in a beautiful Hawaiian forest, this listing features a cozy cabin with a queen bed. The bathroom is traditional open Hawaiian style although still private. Showering outside in the rainforest is truly magical! While this unit is just suitable for 2 people, we do have another listing where we have combined 2 cabins for up to 4 people. Plug n play hot tub add on available.

The Cottages At Volcano - Hale Alala

Surrounded by the rainforest of Volcano and situated just outside of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, our cozy cottage offers a welcoming place for some rest and relaxation between adventures. Hale 'Alalā is named after the highly endangered hawaiian crow whose reintroduction efforts have been focused on the forests around Volcano. While there are no longer any Alalā living in the wild, you can see a pair of live Alalā just down the road at the Panaewa Zoo (free admission).

You're also welcome to prepare & enjoy meals in the screened communal & well-stocked kitchen, where you'll feel close to nature with lots of space for meal prep & dining.
