Baker's Cabin is a rare property - a remote cabin on 6 acres, shared with no one but the night sky. The cabin boasts... Custom craftsmen interior. Hand-carved spiral staircase and banister. Tongue and groove pine walls. Cozy wood burning stove. Vaulted ceilings in living room with loft. Open kitchen with breakfast bar. Large deck (24'x18') with fans, string lights, propane grill, and propane firepit and chairs. Beautiful views of your private 6 acre wooded property with firepit for cozy nights.

Cabin 2 directly on the lake!

We have 3 cabins on Houston County Lake that rent separately. 1&2 have 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms with a loft. The 3rd is a Studio. Master Bedroom has a queen bed with a private bathroom. The guest room has a full-size bunk bed that can sleep 4. The loft has two twin beds in Cabin 1 and a queen mattress in Cabin 2. The kitchen has a microwave, stove, oven, refrigerator, sink, and dishwasher. We also have a Roku TV and WIFI. We have a covered Pavilion with Pickleball, basketball, and other games.

Bunkhouse

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun, kayaks available for rent, baitshop. Paddle boat for small pond (for bunkhouse guests only), firepit, bbq pit, griddle, walking distance to river. Fishing pond catch and release. (Bunkhouse guests only) Right off hwy 7, there is traffic noice. Roku only, no cable. Clear parties, gatherings, events upon booking with host due to extra charge. Be prepared to sign a release of liability which includes all guests and visitors.

Historic Loblolly Lodge at Ratcliff Lake

The Loblolly Lodge was built in 1940 by Mr. Taylor as a gathering place for his family. Remodeled in 2018, it now boasts of all the modern conveniences for a great getaway. With 2400sf of indoor living space & a 640sf covered back porch there is plenty of space for several families. The Lodge is nestled on 11 private wooded acres adjacent to Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area in the Davy Crockett National Forest which offers fishing, swimming, picnicking, and hiking for a small entrance fee.

Located in the quaint town of Groveton, you’ll feel like you’re stepping back in time. “Mammie’s House” makes you feel like you’ve just gone to a visit at your Grandma’s. Here, there’s wide open space to relax and enjoy the quiet country. Step outside and see the stars at night or have a bonfire. This 2 bedroom home is all yours equipped with all the necessities. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds with plenty of storage space throughout.

20 acres of relaxation in the piney woods of East Texas. Easily accessible from all directions. This is not a place to exert a lot of energy unless you'd like to visit my firewood splitting department. (I may knock a few dollars off the price if you do!) Owners house is next door, Grill, smoker, fire pit, and additional outdoor shower. Pond is stocked with perch. Beautiful walking trails. Golf cart is onsite but availability may be limited. The Ponderosa is perfect for family or group getaways. 2 night minimum. Sleeps 6 easily-more upon request for extra charge. Wander our 16 country acres or head out the back gate into the Davy Crockett National Forest. Enjoy your private spa, barbecue and kitchen or the community game room and fire ring. Limited WIFI is available in central areas. Parking is free. Bring your horses and dogs, $50 per pet per stay. Guests must sign a release.
