Grýlusteinn is one of three cabins that we own. Nónsteinn, Grásteinn and Grýlusteinn. Our cabins are a perfect getaway place to enjoy the nature at it fullest while relaxing with a breathtaking view. Perfect for newly weds, couples or friends. Hello dear visitors! We are a team of two passionate travellers (Ieva and Nicolas) who settled down on a faraway fjord in Iceland and are excited to meet you here. We are in the middle of our life project - renovating a beautiful old house in the centre of unpronounceable Fáskrúðsfjörður. Our little cozy studio is a result of our own imagination, we created it ourselves with lots of love and personal touch. Looking forward meeting you here and sharing our tips on discovering beautiful East.

The Shed, country atmosphere

The Shed is totally renovated and has a cozy warm atmosphere. Situated on a working farm far away from traffic and densely populated areas. The Shed sleeps four and has modern amenities. The Shed is perfect for families or two couples travelling together. It is a great base for travelling around the south of Iceland with a selection of self-drive tours you can do e.g. the Golden Circle, The South Coast, Þjórsárvalley, etc. There are also many tour companies operating in this area.

Private 2-person Cottage with Hot Pool

Our cozy cottage with a geothermal hot pool, offers a quiet retreat where you can slow down and enjoy the calm of North Iceland. The hot pool, located just a few steps from the cottages, is available to our guests 24 hours a day, all year round. It is a perfect place to relax in summer and watch northern lights in winter. We are easy to reach (even with a small car) in all seasons and there are many activities and natural landmarks in our area.

Brand new comfortable and well-designed cabins. The sheltered hot outdoor shower, accessible from the bathroom, is a delightful experience in all weathers. They are both very private though it is just a stone’s throw away from the Ring Road. Excellent base for exploring the wonders of the South, for instance Gullfoss & Geysir, The Westmann Islands, the beautiful waterfalls along the south coast and The black beach in Vik.

Beautiful city center apartment

Luxurious 2nd floor apartment in the heart of Reykjavík, right next to pretty much everything downtown. Only a short walk to all the best cafe's and restaurants, libraries, museums and shops. The apartment is located in a unique early last century wooden house which was once called the palace of Hverfisgata. Recently renovated it retains all the charm of old but with all the comfort and style of modern day life.

Beautiful Cottage at Kaldá Lyngholt 2

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.

Black Beach Aurora Dome

Experience unparalleled luxury and comfort at a black sand beach with beautiful views all around. There is a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom in our shared service house on the property, about 200m from the dome, as well as toilet cabins in a short walking distance from the dome.

Skógsnes II - Selfoss

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. Here you can enjoy the nature and relax. Here there is little traffic, cute horses all around and birdlife. Perfect place to see the northern lights in the winter.

Relax with the whole family and with your loved ones at this peaceful place to stay in the middle of beutiful landscape. Good location for northernlights wew, hiking , nature exloration and a lot more .
