The country concert Faster Horses and Michigan International Speedway are minutes away as well. Check out the nearby wineries and trails.

Enjoy a getaway at The Cottage on beautiful Round Lake. Eat on the lakeshore or at the nearby Dear Run or Lake LeAnn Golf Courses. Take a kayak or canoe out to fish or for a peaceful spin around the lake, stopping at the Park to fill water bottles at the spring fed Artesian well. Bring a pontoon or speedboat to ski or tube on this all sports lake if you prefer to pick up the pace. Get back to nature at Stella Matutina Farm’s Moon Flower Yurt. Located on a 10 acre , working Biodynamic farm in the heart of the Waterloo Recreation Area. The yurt sits in its own private space in the forest. Visit the farm animals, historic barn and vegetable gardens. Fire pit, outhouse with compost toilet, outdoor solar shower, and woodstove in the yurt. Visit the quaint towns of Grass Lake and Chelsea or go swimming in one of several nearby lakes. Mountain bike and hiking trails close by.

This property is the perfect destination for a relaxing retreat or a fun packed day of water sports. Located on a quiet 80 acre spring fed lake, the options are limitless! The guest will have access to 2 fishing kayaks, 1 paddle board and a private dock. The fishing is great here! Outside you will also find the perfect spot to have a fire while watching the sunset hit the water. After a nice day on the water the 65 inch Samsung TV and 7 speaker surround sound are ready for a movie night.

Annie's Place behind the winery

Welcome to Annie’s Place! Enjoy the sights and sounds of our family winery and vineyard, as well the relaxation of being in the country. Annie was my aunt and one of the founding members of Sandhill Crane Vineyards. She loved pouring wine for our guests, and they loved her wit and sass! We frequently enjoyed sitting on her porch sipping on a glass of wine or a cocktail. Annie passed away in 2022 but her memory lives on with her family and everyone who loved her. Have a toast to Annie!

Restaurants, ice cream place, and convenience stores are located within walking distance or a short drive away.

Secluded Lakehouse with Hot Tub/game room

Get away to the quiet of a lake and all that nature has to offer! Enjoy an amazing panoramic view of Little Pleasant Lake while soaking in a steaming hot tub in complete isolation. Fishing is possible year round (bring your own pole). Hike the miles of area trails in fall leaves or quiet snow. Light a bonfire after games of corn-hole and table tennis. Unwind on the upstairs balcony after dark and drink in the sounds of the lake and woods. This is the escape you’ve been needing.

Stay in a YURT on An Equine Rescue Ranch

The yurt is located on a 30 Acre Equine Rescue ranch. It is a 4 season 20ft yurt in the middle of the ranch with a beautiful view of Mustangs (American Legends). All proceeds from rental will go back to the rescue. There is electric, an outhouse a short walk away, a cold water spigot close by. Minutes away from Pleasant Lake for swimming, a local winery & 38 minutes from Ann Arbor. We offer tours and chances to interact with equines, including American Mustangs!
