Ideally situated for exploring the hills and mountains round about. The bridge to the Isle of Skye is only 1 mile away and the hills of Kintail are within easy reach at about 15 miles. The quaint, picturesque village of Plockton is close by and the historic Eilean Donan Castle 8 miles away.

Stay in the best of the West Highlands, near the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, Dornie, Kintail, Plockton, Glenelg, Applecross & Isle of Skye. The landscape is wild and spectacular. This area is one of the most beautiful places in the world! Fantastic walks, wildlife, castles & brochs, seafood, bakery and a chocolatier! Otters & Herons can be spotted on the shore, and clear starry nights are memorable…

Lovely home to rent in Kyle of Lochalsh, near Skye

Our home is on the mainland, just 2 minutes drive to the Skye Bridge & walking distance (5 minutes) of the train station & bus stop so it is a great base for exploring the whole of the Skye & Lochalsh area and is more affordable than many options on the island. Perfect for 2 or 4 people but can accommodate 6. We are happy for 6 guests to stay but please be aware that it will be a wee bit of a squeeze. We're sorry that we don't welcome pets (due to my allergies).

The cottage is ideally located with easy access to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye as well as the charming villages of Kintail, Glenelg, Dornie and Plockton. The village of Dornie is home to the world famous Eilean Donan castle which is only a 10min drive from the cottage.
