There are many fantastic restaurants and bars right on our doorstep as well as lots of the Lake Districts most scenic hiking trails. Our home is in the hamlet where Arthur Ransome, author of 'Swallows & Amazons' spent his childhood holidays. Today it still retains that old-world charm. We are a stone's throw from the lake, with woodlands & waterfalls on our doorstep. You can sit by a cosy fire or enjoy a walk/picnic by the lake on light evenings.
