Situated in Kendal town centre (there's a two minute walk down the hill into town) the Mount is surrounded by local greens and parkland and to the west of the building boasts a beautiful golf course, fell and woodland for keen walkers. Situated in the beautiful Eden Valley which lies between the Lake District and the Northern Pennines, we have converted an 17th Century barn into a modern chic, cosy, private one-bedroom apartment perfect for a luxurious getaway to this beautiful corner of the UK. The spacious apartment has a king-sized bed, one bathroom with a walk-in shower and an open plan kitchen and living room. There is WiFi ( but it can be intermittent due to our rural location) TV and DVD player.

Dorothy’s place is part of an 18th Century Villa. Adults only no children allowed. Everything you need for that perfect romantic break. Guests get full use of the large garden and woodland to take in the stunning view. If travelling by train our advice would be get a taxi from the station as can be difficult to find on foot . Guests are welcome to park up as early as you want before check in or drop luggage off in a safe place,but please let us know in advance.
