A private driveway set back from the road offers a tranquil and picturesque location for any type of stay; inspirational work retreat or family holiday.

Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.

Cosy two bedroom holiday let set on a working Herdwick sheep farm situated in the picturesque Wasdale valley within the Lake District National Park. The cottage is set on the shores of Wastwater and so offers stunning views of the lake and the surrounding hills. It is the perfect starting point for numerous Wainwright walks. It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

The Mill, Rutter Falls,

Comfortable converted watermill sleeping one or two couples, overlooking a spectacular waterfall, in the tranquil Eden Valley, between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The deep pool below the falls is ideal for cold-water swimming. Perfect for a romantic getaway, or watching abundant birds and wildlife, for honeymoons, anniversaries or engagements!
