There are great parks & lakes to explore. (Boat launch is 4 miles away). Check out a local winery/brewery. The Blue Ridge parkway is a short drive & absolutely breathtaking.

It has a heated indoor pool so even in the winter time you can enjoy the water with view of the lake. There is a dock as well. So if you happen to want to enjoy the lake, you can.
