It is the ideal location for anyone wanting to be accessible to Mount Desert Island, yet be away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists and traffic. Just a few minutes walk to the gorgeous Lamoine Beach and Lamoine State Park, and a quick drive to Marlborough Beach and Blunts Pond (an amazing local swimming hole!). Breakfast supplies and coffee provided!

Union River Retreat Private Apartment

Experience comfort and natural beauty in this private one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with spectacular sunset views of the Union River. When you arrive at the Flower Farm Loft you're greeted by our dogs, who will likely jump on you with muddy paws and request fetch and pets. You're immediately surrounded by flowers in our gardens and flower studio. The loft has big east facing windows that look over our farm and surrounding fields. You'll open the curtains in the morning to incredible sunrises over Kilkenny Cove, and end your nights at your private fire pit with immaculate star filled skies that will make it hard to go inside.

This newly constructed above garage studio apartment is private, full of light, and effortlessly off-grid. We have an open, airy studio apartment with a queen bed, twin bed, and twin trundle under the twin, private bathroom and full kitchen, located approximately 25 miles, or about a 40 minute drive, from Acadia National Park. Pets are welcome as we have a small fenced in area in the backyard. Bring home a lobster and cook it in the fully furnished kitchen.

The Island Explorer, a free shuttle bus, takes you to Acadia and other towns on Mt. Desert Island free of charge from designated areas close to my home.
