Jamala House is centrally located near Lamu Fort in the historic oldest part of Lamu. It is a quiet and private resort with a relaxing garden rebuilt to a high standard and reopened in 2018. All rooms have private baths with hot water. Jamala features a common kitchen, seating area and a rooftop with a great view of the sea. A continental breakfast can be enjoyed in the breakfast area. Sightseeing tours are available close to the property and dhow services can be arranged at a fair rate.

This coral stone house maintains its original swahili architecture , using local traditional materials and tadelakt plaster in all the walls and floors. Original 3,5 meters ceilings and walls are decorated with carved niches , freezes and alcoves . The 4 levels home with swimming pool have 5 bedrooms and includes a 360 degrees panoramic view terrace on the city and ocean on third floor.
