First of - Kathy’s Kottage offers a uniquely private, warm and inviting detached cottage. We are not a huge commercial venture, but owned, operated, maintained, and cleaned by hosts who live within 150 yards. The Kottage is our only offering. We charge a cleaning fee of $35 a stay, so there isn't a list of chores at check out. We take up to 4 hours between every stay to extensively clean and disinfect every surface. We are proud of the Kottage as shown in every review over the last four years.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The tiny, rustic cabin in the woodland forest is tucked away amongst the cedar trees and snuggled against a ridge. Wild birds are abundant at this bird watcher's paradise. Owls call to you in the evening. Coyotes howl wildly into the night. Opossums, raccoons, deer, blue tailed skinks, toads, fireflies, groundhogs, and bobcats are a few of the critters you might see or hear. Come get back to nature. Our settlement was built in 1920. We have a cute apartment above our general store. (one flight of stairs) We offer sweet smells of cinnamon rolls each morning with coffee and pastries right downstairs. We are located right in the middle of town. Basehor is 10 minutes west of Kansas Speedway, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Hollywood casino and Legends shopping area. Lynnmark Mercantile is a 4 minute drive to Holy Field Winery, and 33 minute drive to Historical Lawrence, Kansas

Just so you know, no third-party services (e.g. chefs, massage therapists) are permitted on the premises unless coordinated through hostess.
