Enjoy a drink or BBQ on the large deck or unwind with a hot outdoor bath. Just a 5-minute walk from the local supermarket and brew bar.

Original 1990 settler Cottage situated in a Native Bush Setting close to small creek. Tui and Bell Birds abound and a feeder is set up on the deck from where you can sit and watch them feed. Wake up to the dawn chorus. The Cottage is very private, set a short (5 minute) walk from owners house. Property is on a hill situated in 70 acres with Protea Plantings, Native Bush and lots of tracks to explore. Hosts happy to drive guests up to cottage if their vehicles are not suitable. Off Grid.

Te Ara Cottage Tranquil Retreat

Beautiful charming cottage with fantastic view. The cottage has a queen bed, a sitting room, shower, bath and toilet with own deck. Not self-contained but has gas burners, bbq set outside on the deck and microwave, mini fridge, kettle and toaster inside. Tea/Plunger coffee are provided. There is a walking track below the cottage and also more walks around here. We are located in Diamond Harbour, 20min walk to jetty that you can catch a ferry to Lyttelton, only 10min ride, beautiful journey

The Herb Farm Cottage - An Idyllic Rustic Retreat

The Herb Farm Cottage is a world of it's own in rural Grehan Valley. Here in the country garden stream side setting of the former Herb Farm (New Zealand's first opened in 1976) you will find the original cottage with the ground floor studio/bed sitting room and adjoining parlour. Super chill little Retro Hut, so cute! Independent, self sufficient, private. Double Bed (snug) above the cab and a single bed downstairs. Spring water plumbed in and mains power and heater. Pots and pans etc and board games to play. Super funky toilet block and spacious shower room just a short walk away on lush lawns. Gorgeous rural outlook. Ocean 1min drive away. Akaroa 20mins. No WiFi but excellent coverage on Spark network, average on Vodafone.
