Let's face it, as far as Guinea goes, Conakry has a lot to offer. But if you're looking for the subtle beauties of the REAL Guinea, you have to go inland. Saramoussaya offers a good look at genuine village life. In my house I have a real bed with a mosquito net, a solar panel for charging phones, computers etc. And although there is no running water, I've rigged up a hand/dish washing sink and an overhead shower. I also have a gas stove for cooking. Plus, my next door neighbor is a baker :)

The place has all the kitchen utensils you need, and a gas stove, microwave, rice cooker, water heater and a fridge so you are comfortable and feel at home. Only 3 of the bedrooms are fully furnished and all the 3 bedrooms and living room has air-conditioning to make you feel comfortable and not have to deal with the heat. There is a parking garage and additional parking at the compound.
