The house near the tower

The house is located in Marta, a charming town on Lake Bolsena. It is built on the remains of a '500 fortress and offers a superb view of the lake. Is near the tower. The 100 sq.m are divided between a ground floor (with lounge/living room with fireplace, kitchenette, dining area, bathroom, small terrace with table and chairs overlooking the hills of Marta); a spiral staircase leads to the upper floor with one double bedroom with view of the lake, two single bedrooms with view of the hills, one toilet with shower. All ceilings have wooden beams. Strategically located in the area called Tuscia (in the Lazio region) which shares borders with Tuscany and Umbria, Marta is locaed only...km from medioeval town Viterbo; numerous other hitorical sites are at an ideal distance for one-day excursions. Swimming in the lake is possible from spring to autumn and beaches such as Montefiascone, Gradole and Bolsena have quite a number of small restaurants and trattoria which offer excellent food and wine. Boat excursions are organized from Montefiascone to the Bisentine Island, famous for its Farnese Palace which was built by XVI century architect Antonio da Sangallo. For those who are fans of thermal tourism, the Terme dei Papi, some 20 min. drive from Viterbo, are a real treat. More spas are located in the province of Siena, some 40/45 min. drive from Marta (Bagno Vignoni, San Filippo Bagni, S. Casciano dei Bagni). The landscape in that region is superb. Numerous other excursions can be organized depending on whether you are interest in art or Italian food specialties. In the Lazio region special mention deserve BAGNOREGIO, perched on a high tuff cliff;TUSCANIA, famous Etruscan town which boasts two beautiful Romanesque churches (S. Pietro and S Maria Maggiore); VULCI, another archaeological site located close to a famous Etruscun necropolis. Close by is a small lake immortalized in films by directors suh as Wim Wender and Zeffirell. You cannot miss ORVIETO, in the Umbria region, with its famous gothic cathedral. Finally, if you decide to stretch out to the Tirreno Sea, do not miss the Tuscan Maremma, the natural Reserves of Lake Burano and Capalbio, all a real treat. La casa è nella piazza più antica di Orvieto, San Giovenale con la stupenda chiesa romanica del XI secolo. Una Loggetta con vista mozzafiato sulla valle del paglia da dove scopre l'Amiata , il Monte Cetona ed il Monte Peglia. Arredata con mobili su misura realizzati da maestri falegnami orvietani, i soffitti in legno al primo piano ed il cotto fatto a mano del pavimento ne fanno un alloggio pieno di fascino in cui trascorrere un meraviglioso soggiorno ad Orvieto. L'appartamento si trova in posizione centrale, a due passi dalla Torre dell'orologio e dal caratteristico centro storico. A 2 minuti a piedi si raggiunge la piazza principale e il lungolago. A pochi km la spiaggia del lago di Bolsena. L'appartamento piccolo, con soffitto a volta, appena ristrutturato, si trova in una palazzina tipica del paese con la facciata a pietra. Cucina completa di ogni accessorio, bagno con doccia, camera da letto con un grande armadio. Wi-Fi incluso.

La Cava (Palazzo Pallotti)

L'appartamento é due piani sotto la piazza, interamente scavato nel tufo. Con vista sulla valle, é isolato dai rumori della strada, tranquillo, privato e molto accogliente. Le pareti in tufo gli donano un'aria antica, per trasportavi altrove nel tempo. Si raggiunge a piedi, attraverso un ponte pedonale che vi porta direttamente nella piazza dove c'é l'immobile. É perfetto per brevi soggiorni di completo relax, ma con la cucina totalmente attrezzata si sfrutta al massimo.

Rilassati in questo delizioso appartamento al piano terra, ubicato alla fine di una silenziosa stradina chiusa. Molto amato dalle famiglie con bambini per l’assenza di scale e di traffico di auto davanti casa. Accogliamo con piacere cani di piccola taglia educati. Ci si muove tranquillamente a piedi per passeggiare o raggiungere i negozi, farmacia, ristoranti e bar ed arrivare in 5 minuti al porto e la spiaggia di Marta.
