A backyard path to hammock & chill spot by Ripples (view only, but 1/2 mile away is Long Pond for swimming, canoe/kayak rental). Grill. Firepit. Tranquility! Experience living tiny in this lovingly built small scale space that includes everything you need for a cozy getaway. Return from a day of hiking in Acadia National Park to soak in the clawfoot tub or relax on the tiny deck, with a glimpse of the ocean. This 20ft x 8ft tiny home is situated in a backyard, a short walk from Manset Town Dock and Peter Trout Tavern, and a five-minute drive from Southwest Harbor and parts of Acadia National Park (about 20 min to longer hikes and the loop road).

Fern Tiny House is 15 min. to Acadia National Park's entrance & 10 min. to the new Gateway Center where you can catch an Island Explorer bus to Acadia, Schoodic & Bar Harbor. When your adventures conclude, this comfortable and private tiny home will continue your immersion in nature with large windows that capture the sunrise and the stars at night from the luxurious king bed. This retreat is all on one level and features a full-sized bathroom, well-appointed kitchen, gas fireplace & fire pit.

Perched on a granite cliff, this thoughtfully designed little home provides for your every need. For anything else, take the ten minute stroll into the village, where you'll find plenty of local shops and restaurants. You can access the water via a set of stairs leading from the property to the shoreline. End your days on the deck and keep your eyes peeled for seals!

Bright and airy 1970's modern camp on Somes Sound, Northeast Harbor Maine. Imagine waking up near the high tide mark, serenaded by sounds of seals and birds. With water and mountain views, you will be tempted to spend your days on the deck. However, we encourage your to venture into the mountains, walk or ride the carriage roads, kayak, take an ocean or fresh water swim or spend a day visiting neighboring islands--there is a multitude of options, for all ages, on Mount Desert Island Maine.

The Arthaus, an eclectic retreat for two

Located on Mount Desert Islands, "Quietside". The cottage features high ceilings and an open floor plan, with a small deck looking into the woods The walls are decorated with original art work by the owner. Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.

Located at the top of Somes Sound and midway between Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor, Azalea Knoll is a hidden gem - a perfect location for everything Mt. Desert Island offers. In 10 minutes, you reach trails, carriage roads, lakes restaurants and more. The 2 bedroom home, which sleeps 4, has an open floorplan, high ceilings and custom kitchen. Two full bathrooms, including one with a jet tub, two decks, a porch and fire pit provide options for relaxing when not exploring the island.

The Seamist Cottage - Converted Historic Barn

Cozy, fully converted historic barn within easy walking distance to the rocky shore of Bass Harbor, a busy lobstering port. An ideal, pet friendly, home base while exploring Acadia National Park. The Seamist is located on "the quietside" of the island. Six minutes from Southwest Harbor and thirty minutes to Bar Harbor, the Seamist also offers guests private hot tub access! Two guests maximum, not a suitable space for children. Please keep allergies in mind when booking. No smoking.

Welcome to Northeast Harbor and Acadia National Park! SUMMIT BUNGALOW is a cozy home that is a block away from water views and within easy walking distance to town. Hiking, carriage trail walks and biking, time spent on the water, and restaurants, are ready for you to enjoy! Within town is a library, public tennis courts, and numerous shops to explore. Begin your mornings with coffee on the porch swing and end the day over-looking the spacious backyard.

Large 1 Bedroom Log Cabin Near Long Pond.

If you like privacy, peace and tranquility and don't mind not being within walking distance to shops and restaurants this log home, located at the center of Mount Desert Island might be the place for you. An easy 20 minute drive -or less- to all island villages, and majority of Acadia's hiking trails and Carriage Road entries. Just around the corner is access to Long Pond where canoe and kayak rentals are available.

Meadow Point Cottage

Meadow Point cottage is located on a very quiet five acre property with panoramic views of Frenchman's Bay and Mount Desert Island. It takes about thirty minutes to drive over to MDI and Acadia National Park. The property has a private beach for kayaking and woods with a picnic area and fire pit. It is a wonderful spot for walking and viewing wildlife; ducks, eagles, shore birds, seals and deer.
