The Thunderbird Tiny House

The Thunderbird tiny house is located on the Thunderbird Ranch about 13 miles west of Mountainair, New Mexico. We are surrounded by the Cibola National Forest on all four sides. The property is owned by the Wester's and has been in their family for almost a hundred years. We also have other vacation homes for rent so if you want to bring another family we can accommodate that. This house is off the grid so we've got to be careful not to use too much electricity cannot run do not run hair Dryer

Close by: Sandia Ski area, Sandia Tram, Balloon Fiesta, Aquarium-Zoo, Museums, Tinkertown, McCall's Pumpkin Farm. Towns nearby: North - Placitas, Bernalillo, Santa fe and Madrid. East: Edgewood, Moriarty and Santa Rosa. South- Chilili and Mountainair. West- Alb., Corrales, Rio Rancho and Grants.

A Tiny Home!

Mountainair is in the geographical center of the state! Only 1 hour 10 minutes from Albuquerque, it's a great little place to relax away from the big city. Located by the Cibola Forest & Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, it's a great place to take in the great outdoors. This little house is perfect & cheaper than local hotels. Complete with 2 bedrooms, a washer/dryer unit & newly re-modeled bathroom w/new toilet, sink & shower/tub! Older home, not ADA compliant. No wheelchair access.

Relax and unwind in our Green Build casita (guest house) in a privately gated four home subdivision offering security and quiet for the discerning traveler. Perfect for solo or couples and within a few minutes walk to The Bosque trails and Rio Grande River. Bird watch, bike ride, walk along nature trails, or a short driving distance to Old Town/ Downtown Albuquerque. We are centrally located within Albuquerque and are a short driving distance to restaurants, but not within walking distance.

Cozy Farmhouse Camper

Come stay at our 2-acre hobby farm with a wonderful view of the rolling Sandia Mountains. Located about 25 minutes from Albuquerque, it’s a great place to stay outside of the city. Our farm-style camper has all you need for a cozy getaway, including a small kitchen with a mini fridge, Keurig, and microwave. Sleep on the comfy full-sized bed and folding cot bed. Our farm has goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, dogs, cats, and 2 little pigs! Sample our fresh goat milk and eggs by request!

Private Casita at the Desert River Farm

We are located on a 2.75 acre homestead property just south of Albuquerque in a small agricultural community. It is a perfect retreat space for those looking to get away but stay close to amenities. We live in an 1890 adobe home that shares the property with the casita and we have quiet and friendly neighbors. We have a handful of fruit trees, a hoop house where we are growing vegetables, and a wild 1 acre field. The property is fully fenced with private parking right outside the casita.

Just a short walk of Albuquerque’s main attractions, the casita offers comfort & convenience as well as a pleasant and whimsical vibe that will help you relax and feel at home during your stay. You will be just a few blocks from Old Town Plaza, Natural History Museum, Albuquerque Museum, Explora Science Center, Children's Museum, Tiguex Park, Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, Botanical Garden, BioPark, Aquarium, Zoo, Sawmill District as well as several cafes, restaurants and shops.

Little House Among The Trees

My Partner and I offer this 500 sq foot Solar house. It's self contained, secluded, quiet and secure. There are 5 dogs in the Main house but they use a doggie door to come and go. You might see them wandering the property but they have never been in the little house so if you have any allergies this should not be an issue for you. The hens and ducks are fenced on the back of the property. PLEASE --- Send (with words) a Check-In "Time" with your FIRST communication.

Cozy cabin with Highlands

Relax, unwind, and unplug with a beautiful view of the Manzano Mountains in our cozy cabin. Mountainair was known as the “Pinto Bean Capital of the World” in its heyday and our land was used for dry-land bean farming. Remnants of homesteaders can still be found on the property. We now enjoy this beautiful location to raise Scottish Highland Cattle and can’t wait to share it with you! Our cabin will fit 2 adults plus a child comfortably with a queen bed and twin sofa bed.

Our caista rests on @200 acres with an amazing view of the Monzano Mountains! Just 75 minutes southeast of Albuquerque, it offers easy access to the impressive Salinas Mission Ruins, the Cibola National Forest, and the quaint town of Mountainair.
