Fanningstown Castle is a romantic, gothic style castle dating from the 12th Century which has been sensitively restored over the years to a lovely, spacious, relaxing space in which to relax with family & friends. The castle is nestled among dairy farms 3 miles from Adare in the heart of the Golden Vale region so lots of green fields and cows grazing. Enjoy walking in its extensive grounds which include a beautiful wild Glen garden. Guests are welcome to use the games room, or sit in the guard room amongst the suits of armour. For literary enthusiasts spend time in the library where Mark Bence-Jones wrote,' A Guide to Irish Country Houses'. Our house is situated only twenty-three kilometres from Cork City.
