Unique stand alone stone cottage located on a hillock in the middle of 250 acres of tea plantation. This private property farmstay offers seclusion, safety and total privacy with sweeping views of the tea estate overlooking the valley and its surrounding hills. As it is a working farm our guests can participate in the daily activities of tea picking while in season, explore our vegetables and flower gardens, pick and cook fresh fruits and vegetables or wander about endlessly across the estate.

Villa Shivalay- A luxurious solar-powered homestay

Villa Shivalay is a beautiful, quaint solar-powered bungalow, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 6-7 guests. It has a lovely lawn with a garden. The place is only 45 mins from the Kaziranga National park, 60 mins from Hollongapar Gibbon sanctuary and 30 mins from the Jorhat airport. We can organize safaris for guests. Your hosts Bina and Prakash (my parents) live upstairs and will treat you to lovely vegetarian meals with ingredients sourced from their private organic farm behind the house.

Contours of the mountains, the edges of the paddy fields; our cottage overlooks the most picturesque site in Kohima. We are situated at the highest point of Kigwema; right above Kisama Heritage Village. The first ray of the sun hits our cottage and reflects on the paddy fields. Our cottage is an immersive deep-forest getaway for urban travellers. Surrounded by 10 wooded acres, you'll find yourself sharing the sunset view with birds in the tree tops, gazing at the starlit skies.

Greenhouse (full floor)

We have two adjoining rooms with an attached dining area and a nice big terrace. You'll get a gorgeous view of the Dzouku valley and Japfü peak, Nagaland's second highest peak. On Sundays the hills come alive with music from churches across Kohima. It's a real treat for tourists. (so they tell me) it's a short steep downhill walk to my place but it's totally worth it! if you have trouble walking please let us know and we'll arrange a car.

Nina's HomeStay is located in a very serene locality of Sonali Jayanti Nagar in Jorhat. The house is just 500 Meters from the Bus Terminus, 3 Kms from the railway station and 5 Kms from the Airport. The accommodation is perfect for couples, family and friends. The listing is a well-furnished 1 BHK apartment with complimentary breakfast. The apartment also has a cozy balcony and a friendly couple to host you.
