Within easy reach of Alton Towers, Chatsworth, Kedleston Hall, Crich Tramway, and the Derbyshire Peak District. But you really don't need to drive anywhere if you just want to chill out, as there are lots of things to do nearby.

There will always be a warm welcome at The Old Stables. We have a lovely double room available. TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a continental breakfast are provided. You have your own private bathroom, with a large walk in shower & roll top bath. There is great walking, running, fishing, cycling, mountain biking, climbing & golf all on our doorstep with good views from the house of Bamford Edge, Win Hill & Shatton Moor. If you are a group of 3/4, we do have a second room on request.

Tannery House is a hidden gem set within private grounds, with Bakewell on your doorstep. A family home, and two very friendly dogs, Ziggy and Bounty. We will be around if you need us and happy to have a chat. Currently breakfast is available at Avenue House, a few mins walk away. Breakfast is between 8.30 to 10.00am and is included in the price.. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE BOOKING DECEMBER 31st or 1ST BREAKFAST OPTION WILL BE BREAKFAST COBS or PASTRIES TAKEN IN YOUR ROOM FROM 9AM.

Riber Hall Manor - Luxury suite - breakfast inc!

A unique opportunity to stay in one of Derbyshire’s historic country homes, Riber Hall Manor. Riber Hall dates from the 1400’s. This beautifully restored Elizabethan manor house is situated in Riber, a tiny hamlet in the Derbyshire Dales. It is alleged Mary Queen of Scots was detained in Riber Hall. By 1724 the Hall was split it into two halves; here is your opportunity to stay in the hidden secret side of Riber Hall with its deep history and authentic English country charm.

Yeldwood Farm Cottage is a beautiful barn conversion on our farm, just outside Baslow. The self-catering cottage sleeps 2 guests, in a Super-King size (or Twin) master bedroom. The cottage comprises a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, sitting room and bathroom with a large bath and shower. We are ideally situated on the Chatsworth Estate within the Peak District, close to Chatsworth House itself, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Eyam, Matlock, Castleton, Buxton and Sheffield.

Friar tuck cosy single room in Robin Hood country

A basic, budget option of a single room in my lovely modern home, with use of the newly refurbished family bathroom. I live within 15-20 mins drive from Mansfield and Worksop. Chesterfield, Sheffield and Nottingham can all be reached in less than an hour. Sherwood Forest and Sherwood pines mountain bike trail are less than 10 mins drive, with lots of nice walks in the vicinity. Easy on street parking and a relaxed homely feel.

Within a five minute drive of Bakewell, and only 10 minutes from Chatsworth, our relaxed home is the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Peak District.
