Our place is a unique architectural designed passive solar, straw bale home with recycled native wood and natural clay finish. Enjoy the warmth, peaceful feel and views of the beautiful Maraetotara valley and relax in the natural spring water hot tub. The 30 sqm studio is located within the main house, has a separate entrance, private deck and parking with EV charger. Relax and unwind in our intimate studio by Lake Karapiro. Treetops studio is situated in a peaceful garden setting with lovely views over the treetops above Lake Karapiro. At the end of the drive(500m) is the Karapiro domain - enjoy a short walk to have a coffee at the Podium cafe or cycle/walk the Te Awa cycleway. We are 20mins from Hamilton airport and a great location to access local tourist attractions: Cambridge 10mins, Hobbiton 30mins, Rotorua 1hour, Waitomo caves 1 hour.

Vineyard Glamping Russell - The Syrah Shack

Hidden inside native bush is our glamping hut named 'the syrah shack', which is nestled behind our syrah vines. The location is 10 minutes out of Russell township, in the Bay of Islands. You will have a vineyard, cellar door and eatery 1km from the hut. Escape your worries and get off the grid in our eco retreat. Enjoy the luxury of a super king bed and the serenity of an outdoor camping style kitchen, hot shower, composting toilet and the best bit is an outdoor bath for two!!

Ride, roam relax at our mountain bike park. Maximum peace and quiet on top of a hill with nothing but views. Once you have finished relaxing you can go for a mountain bike ride and choose from 20 tracks. Cold? No problem, the fire will be set up ready to light upon arrival. Cheese board and wine supplied when you arrive and a breakfast basket of locally sourced/ NZ made produce all included in your stay. Don't forget your togs for the hot tub with an incredible view.
