This little historic home was built just before the turn of the century and was one of the early homes in Raton. If you have a larger group please consider booking the Casita and/ or the Gallery House as well! They sit right next door and are equally cool spots! Thoughtfully updated to maintain its historic charm and add modern amenities. The 1st Street Cottage in Downtown Trinidad is perfect for you to unwind and enjoy the music, art, and sights of Trinidad. This 1950s home was recently renovated with a new kitchen and bath, spacious living area, relaxing outdoor space and decorated with an art-deco and mid-century flair. No need to drive a car once you are here! Our cottage is directly behind Space to Create Trinidad and within walking distance to city parks, the river, galleries, eateries, and museums.

Charming Train Depot built in 1890

Enjoy a piece of railroad history! This train depot, built in 1890 was once located in Maxwell, New Mexico. This piece of history is beautifully refinished and is located in the country club addition of Raton. The nostalgic kitchen has the original writing on the walls, as the passengers went through and signed their names. The signatures are now kept behind plexiglass to preserve the handwriting.
