Bike Park Wales and the Brecon Beacons are also just a short drive away making the house an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore all that the area has to offer. Bike storage and bike washing facilities available. Parking for 3 cars. Up to 2 dogs are welcome for an additional £20 pet fee per dog.

(secure bike lock up / pressure washer on request) 15 minutes to both 4 waterfall hikes. 20 minutes to the start of Pen-y-Fan. 30 minutes from Cardiff / Swansea.

This quaint cosy cottage is purpose built and sits on the Taff Trail in the village of Troedyrhiw, with panoramic views . Less than 1 mile from Bike Park Wales, and 3 miles from Merthyr Tydfil, 9 miles from Brecon Beacons and 22 miles from Cardiff, with the benefit of private parking for 2 vehicles and ample further parking opposite. Also a safe secure alarmed bike shed, suitable for 5 large bikes, covered by CCTV, with a metered heater. AC is pay as you go, which covers the whole cottage.

The beautifully restored Milking Parlour suits families, city sightseers and activity adventurers. Set in a rural spot, but close to the A470 and Quakers Yard Train Station, on the South Wales Metro. Halfway between Cardiff City Centre and Pen y Fan, we are ideally suited for a weekend in the bright lights of Cardiff, or the stunning dark skies of the Beacons. Locally we are within walking distance to several cosy pubs that serve food, a convenience store and the Taff Trail Cycle Path.

Excellent road links for the Brecon Beacons:- Bike Park Wales, Zip World Tower, Pen-y-Fan, Waterfall Walks, Show Caves; and also Cardiff, Swansea, Beaches and Mid-Wales. This is an urban setting with pubs, a post office, shop, and takeaways all nearby. Aberdare Town is 1 mile away. Dare Valley Country Park is a pleasant 2 mile walk away and there are other walks from the door although none are obvious so please ask for details.
