Jamie, if you read the site you will see all the information about the home, you would have seen that "We the owners live upstairs". The site also states that you need to request to have the singles beds made into a king size bed before arrival, unfortunately we are not mind readers, the photos show both singles beds and the king size bed in the 2nd bedroom. If we had known before your arrival i would have been more than happy to change the bed over for you, as this is not the main bedroom with the king size bed, it is the 2nd bedroom which is normally used for singles. When you originally booked, you booked for one, if you had put in 3 or 4 guests you would have been quoted the correct price, this is your error not ours.
As for communication you are the one that did not respond for 5 or more days which took you into the first cancellation period. If you look at our response rate it is 100%. As for the price, and the free inclusions, you were happy to drink the free beer, wine and soft drinks and eat the free chocolates, not to mention the cook your own breakfast. You are the one that chose to stay here, then wanted to cancel, then added more guests, then wanted to cancel. You obviously cant make up your mind as to what you want. If you cant afford accommodation then dont book it. As for ants, well i am sorry but a few ants is nothing when the accommodation is sparkling clean. This is not a budget bnb, this is a very comfortable home away from home.
Perhaps you should read all the information about a property before you book and know what is available and what the requirements are. Due to the problems we had dealing with you, i would not recommend you to any future hosts. We will also be making a claim against your security bond for the oil stains on our concrete and bitumen left after doing motor vehicle repairs that was not reported to us on your departure.
