Our place is close to countryside. The Wye Valley is a AONB where you can walk, cycle, canoe and explore the many tracks through woodland and farmland. You’ll love it because of the peace and tranquility. A private romantic hideaway where you can cuddle up in front of a roaring woodburning stove to keep away the winter blues. We are within easy reach of Monmouth with it's bijou quirky shops and eateries. The nearest pub is the Mill Race a 40minute walk but not in the dark. Takeaways deliver.
Pat and Richard would like to welcome you to their newly refurbished cider barn. It has one double bed, kitchenette, wet room and lounge with TV. Also we have a woodburning stove as well as radiators. There is a small patio and access to part of the garden. There is ample off road parking, secure bicycle storage. Eggs available from our own hens. Although we own a pet ourselves we have decided not to accept pets as guests. No smoking please. Three nights minimum stay. We are within two miles of Ross-on-Wye. There is fine dining and several pubs within easy reach. There are opportunities for walking, fishing and canoeing in this Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We look forward to meeting you. We own and drive a 1939 MG and would particularly welcome MG drivers and will offer them cash back if they arrive in an MG. In fact being old car people we especially welcome anyone in an old car. Although the wireless WiFi is adequate for email, internet surfing and shopping etc it is not strong enough to stream films. The television does incorporate a DVD player and there is a small selection of DVDs in the Barn. There is also a number of popular boxed games, Scrabble etc.
Access into Wenslow Barn is via its own door from a lobby which, although shared with the main cottage, is for the sole use of guests during their visit. The lobby can be used for the storage of bicycles, outdoor clothes and walking boots etc.

Richard and Pat will always be available in Wenslow Cottage during lets. We are happy to advise on local amenities or just chat and pass the time of day.
Pat likes old things to buy and sell and gardening. Richard, provider, gardener, mechanic with a great love of all things mechanical. Still cherishing and driving my first car 1939 MGTA. Can't live without, quiet, real ale, curry, petrol and things to mend. Ideally we would both travel everywhere on the Queen Mary II if we could.
